Pick a Number Small Enough to Actually Hit
🎁FREE: The Budget That Doesn't Feel Like Poverty, my simple money map. https://weblyalfred.myflodesk.com/wouj3y02tx Two men in a parking lot said the same thing I was thinking that morning: I gotta make the rent money this week. That is where saving money at 50 actually starts. Not with a big number. With the least scary one you can actually hit. Here is what nobody tells women over 50 who are starting over with no cushion: you do not have a discipline problem, you have a fear problem. A goal you believe you can hit changes how you work. A goal that scares you changes how you sleep. So we pick a number so big it keeps us up at night, miss it once, and quit. The number was never the problem. The size was. I have been in these streets since 2015, back when I trained inside a Whole Foods and a $3.50 toll got reimbursed like it was a favor. I lived on $75 a day on income that never came in the same twice. So this is not theory. These are receipts. In this video I give you the 4 moves that get you saving when every dollar is already spoken for: 1. Find your least scary number. Not the number a book gave you. The number you can hit this week without losing sleep. Undefeated beats impressive. 2. Save first, in the rhythm your money arrives. Your money flows in like a stream and your bills land like a boulder. Pay in the rhythm the money comes and the boulder never forms. 3. Stop waiting to be saved. Monetization, a raise, a rescue: all of it runs on somebody else's schedule, by somebody else's rules. It was never the only way and it is rarely the best way. 4. Run a power hour. One focused hour on one money problem beats a month of worrying about all of them. Here is the truth underneath the whole thing. Nobody is coming to save you, and that is not bad news. That is the news that sets you free. The day I stopped waiting to be rescued is the day I started building something nobody could take. Just the number. $5 counts. $20 counts. Put it where we can all see it. I read every single one. I'm Webly. I'm 51, saving on purpose on an income that never comes in the same twice, building the rest out loud every single day. Subscribe and I'll meet you back here tomorrow.
